It’s 2020 now, and with a new decade upon us, it’s time to look back on the projects and accomplishments of Avalanche Studios in the 2010s. In 2010, Avalanche Studios was still working out of our old studio in Salt Lake City, Utah and we had just begun the production of our documentary Front Man, The Alex Boyé Story. We’ve come a long way since then as we’ve added some new faces, new clients, new equipment and facilities, and moved into our new building in 2015. Our crews have traveled across the United States, Europe, and Central America. We’ve improved our skills, processes and overall film and video production abilities – and even won a few awards along the way #goldtelly.

We’ve continued our valuable relationships with some of our long-time clients such as The Salt Lake Chamber, NICE inContact, and the Sundance Institute. And we’ve begun new relationships with clients like Deseret Digital Media, Comcast Business, Salt Lake City Department of Airports, Ikea, HBO, Dolby, and more. In addition to our corporate projects, Avalanche Studios produced a variety of television commercials, made a few music videos, and even produced a few television pilots.

And we began production and are nearing completion or our passion project, Dog Valley. Dog Valley is a true crime documentary we are currently finishing and are submitting to film festivals around the country and hope to release in 2020. In 2017, we began work on a documentary about the construction of the new Salt Lake International Airport and hope to release the first portion of the film in fall of 2020. And we recently began filming a documentary about New York Times best-selling author Brandon Mull as he began writing a very unique new project. Filming locations included New York City and a remote Utah cabin in the mountains. We are also in early stages of another documentary regarding human sex trafficking.

So, we are looking forward to a great new year in 2020, and the next decade. Thanks to all of our commercial clients, our staff, our super amazing freelancers, and everyone who has helped Avalanche Studios have an amazing last ten years.
